OUR
STORY

Our belief is this, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
Haiti's Heart's mission is simple--it is based on respect and love for a culture that has experienced many difficulties. Haiti's culture is rich with creativity, ingenuity and beauty, yet natural disasters, poverty and political challenges have left children and adults without options to provide for themselves and their loved ones.
The Haitian people are bright, intelligent and full of hope waiting for their opportunity to be self reliant. Our services provide opportunities and trusted relationships with communities and people through the arts, service and humanitarian efforts. We focus on community strengths! We teach trade skills and offer dental and medical excursions. Our belief is this, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." We ask volunteers to become students and learn much by engaging in this beautiful culture, by serving through our humanitarian mission one Haitian Heart at a time.
